  • Pre-Retreat Arrival in Thailand

    We highly suggest that you book your flights immediately. If you are traveling from the US, you may consider arriving in Chaing Mai a day or two early, to prevent any travel delays causing you to miss the start of the retreat and to recover from jet lag.

    Flying into Chiang Mai

    Fly into Chiang Mai -Chaing Mai International Airport (CNX). You may wish to stay the pre-retreat night there. Accommodation for the pre-retreat night is on your own.

    Airport Pickup (January 28)

    The drive to and from the airport is included in your stay and will take roughly 15 minutes. There will be two pick-up times from the airport on January 28 to choose from. We will collect travel itineraries as we get closer to our retreat start date.

    Arrival at Cloudnine Retreat Villa (January 28)

    Retreat check-in begins at 2 p.m., with enough time for everyone to arrive and get acclimated before dinner. The official opening ceremony and dinner is at 7 p.m.

    Departure Day (February 4)

    Check-out is at 12 p.m. You’ll be dropped off at Chiang Mai Airport for your departing flight, or to continue your trip in Thailand. We will collect travel itineraries as we get closer to our retreat start date.

  • Included:

    • 6-night / 7-day accommodations Three healthy meals daily (gluten-, dairy-free and vegan options available)

    • Coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages

    • Three daily morning practices

    • A full day personal workshop

    • Airport pickup and drop-off

    Not Included:

    • Airfare to Chiang Mai

    ***ecreational drugs will not be available or allowed during the Retreat.

  • Cloudnine Retreat will provide all yoga mats and props needed, including cleanings and disinfection between uses. There also is an on-site laundry room to wash clothes if needed.

  • Booking your spot requires an initial $500 deposit, followed by a 3-month payment plan. Payments will be automatically withdrawn once your space is secured. The deposit is non-refundable.

  • Mornings

    Rise slowly with a delicious cup of tea or coffee and a stroll around the garden, vineyards and orchards. We’ll gather on a platform under trees for our two hour morning yoga and meditation practice. After which we’ll savor a breakfast brimming with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

    Afternoons

    Explore hidden temples, engage in local workshops, and indulge in yoga, meditation, and spa treatments. Connect with like-minded individuals and savor authentic Thai cuisine.

    Evenings

    Laughter, stories, and shared experiences intertwine as we dine together, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. From dinner on the river to getting a REAL taste of Thailand as we tour the vibrant street food scene.

    You do you

    Everything during the Retreat is optional. We highly encourage you to join us for our morning and evening practices as they are designed to be cumulative. But this week is about taking care of YOU. Please do what feels best and right for your body and spirit.

    Please note that we strive to keep our Retreat a space for centering, relaxing, and socializing. Consider this an opportunity to unplug and let your digital devices go to sleep.

  • How many people are joining?

    The Retreat group will be very intimate with a total of 6 women joining as guests.

    There will be 2 Clondnine team members on-site to serve our guests throughout our time together.

    Can I join with a friend?

    We’d love for you to bring a friend to join the Retreat. We ask for you both to sign up individually and send us a note at hello@cloudnineretreats.com to let us know if you’d like to be in a room together.

  • Shoes

    • A pair of sneakers

    • Light, flowing clothing for summer weather

    • A sweater or two for cooler evenings and mornings

    • Swimsuit, it’s nice to have one suit to wear and one to dry

    • Sunscreen, sunhat & sunglasses for sun-bathing

    • Nicer clothes to dress for dinners if you wish

    • A white / beige dress or outfit for our last evening together

    • A bathrobe for use of the sauna and pool

    Yoga Clothing & Props

    • Shirts that can double for daywear

    • Yoga pants, leggings, sweatpants, or wide-legged cotton pants

    Important Checklist of Items to Pack

    • Print 3 copies of your visa & passport. Keep one on you during international travel, one in your purse or backpack, and one in your checked luggage.

    • Print the email confirmation we send you and keep it with you during travel.

    • Electrical adapter for your electric devices (2-prong Asian style)

  • Book in full or sign up for a payment plan. Placing an order constitutes agreement with our full Terms and Conditions.

  • Traveling from the US

    • U.S. citizen tourists entering Thailand for fewer than 30 days do not require a visa.

    • We strongly recommend that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your arrival in Thailand to avoid possible denied entry.

    • Make 3 copies of your passport: keep one on you during international travel, one in your purse or backpack, and one in your checked luggage.

  • In case of COVID cancellation

    If we have to postpone the retreat due to COVID-19 or COVID-19-related travel restrictions, we will provide you with a credit in the amount of your non-refundable deposit to be applied to another Aether Retreat within a year, and refund you with any balance payments made above that amount.

  • If WE postpone/cancel a retreat due to external circumstances:

    If we are forced to postpone or cancel the retreat, due to a significant event that makes it infeasible to operate the retreat as planned (including, but not limited to, natural disasters, manmade disasters, COVID-19, disease, travel restrictions, etc.) we will provide you with a credit in the amount of your nonrefundable deposit to be applied to another Cloudnine Retreat within a year, and refund you with any balance payments made above that amount.

    We will not be responsible for any refund for non-refundable airline tickets or for any airline tickets purchased by the passenger directly from an airline or travel agent.

    In all cases of Cloudnine Retreat canceling or postponing the retreat, we will not be able to compensate you for any airfare or associated travel costs incurred in connection with the retreat. Once airline tickets are issued they are subject to the carrier’s refund policy; non-refundable airline ticket fees (which may be up to 100% of the ticket value) may apply. We highly recommend travel insurance to cover these risks.

    If YOU cancel your reservation:

    If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, there will be no refunds for any payments you already made. There will also be no refunds or discounts for: arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays, or illness.

    We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred for reserving our retreat center and related services. To protect yourself, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance that covers unforeseen, personal circumstances.

    Cancellation:

    Unless we have to cancel the retreat due to external circumstances (see above), Cloudnine Retreat will not provide any refunds or credit for payments that were already made. Cloudnine Retreat is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

  • Weather

    The average temperature in Chiang Mai in January for a typical day ranges from a high of 80°F (27°C) to a low of 57°F (14°C). Some would describe it as pleasantly warm, humid but cool.

    Money, Cash, Credit Cards

    Let your credit card company know you will be traveling. Take money out at ATMs at the airport and/or at Super Rich Exchange.

    Wifi & Cell Service

    Depending on your service provider, cell service might be available at the location. If desired, contact your service provider to set up an international calling plan ahead of your trip, to avoid large roaming charges. Wifi is available at the hotel’s common areas. Please note that we strive to keep our common spaces free for centering, relaxing, and socializing. Consider this an opportunity to let your digital devices go to sleep.

    Power Adaptor

    For Thailand there are four associated plug types, types A, B and C. Plug type A is the plug which has two flat parallel pins, plug type B has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin and plug type C has two round pins. Thailand operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
